Refer To The Workshop Manual For Detailed Adjustment Procedures

•  The steps in this inspection sheet are designed for efficient movement around the vehicle.
•  Problems found during inspection should be noted on a repair order.
•  Unless otherwise stated, each item should be inspected for fit, appearance and/or operation.
•  Inspection items followed by an asterisk (*) are required only if the vehicle is equipped with that feature.

Pre-Delivery Inspection Table


General

qCheck vehicle for any open Recalls, SSPs, or MSPs, and available updates for audio/navigation systems
qInstall/assemble all loose or packaged parts in the glove box and trunk/cargo area


Exterior

INSPECT and ADJUST, if necessary, the following items to specification:
qREMOVE all protective wrap, covers, and window stickers
•  Unless the vehicle is scheduled for display or immediate delivery, do not remove the exterior protective film or interior protective covering during inspection
qGlass, exterior bright metal and paint for damage
qDoor and liftgate* operation (Open/Close)
qAll weather strips for damage or detachment
qSecurity/keyless entry devices (Doors locking/unlocking by transmitter)*
qAdvanced keyless entry (Doors locking/unlocking by request switches)*
qOperation of bonnet release and lock, trunk release*, and fuel-filler lid opener
qPour one bottle of deposit cleaner into the fuel tank (Specified countries only)
•  Refuel the vehicle after adding the deposit cleaner or inform the customer to do so immediately
•  For details on the specified countries, please refer to the service information


Under bonnet-engine off

INSPECT and ADJUST, if necessary, the following items:
qINSTALL Fuses for accessories
•  ROOM fuse
•  AUDIO fuse
qFuel, engine coolant, and hydraulic lines, fittings, connections, and components for leaks
qEngine oil level
qBrake/clutch fluid level
qWindshield washer reservoir fluid level
qRadiator coolant level
qTightness of battery terminals, electrolyte level and voltage (12.4 V)
qCheck the electrolyte specific gravity in case models with i-stop system or i-ELOOP*
Record the voltage and electrolyte specific gravity in the table below.
<Judgment Criteria>
?  If the cell with the lowest specific gravity is less than 1.17, replace the battery
?  If the cell with the lowest specific gravity is 1.17 or more, recharge the battery, after charging if the cell with the lowest specific gravity is less than 1.25, replace the battery.

Interior

INSPECT the operations of the following items:
qSecure floor mats to hooks.
qParking brake
qVerify that warning lights (check engine, brake, engine oil, charging system, ABS, TPMS) stay on for a few seconds after engine start
qMazda ERA-GLONASS control module finalization (If the indicator of the Mazda ERA-GLONASS switch is turned on/flashes)


Leave Engine Idling In Park Until Reaching Operating Temperature

qHorn, front/rear wipers, and washers. Wiper blades performance (Clean wiper blades and windshield, if necessary).
qHeadlight cleaner (Washer fluid injection)*
qInterior and exterior lights, dash switches, headlight leveling switch. (Set position to 0)*
qAudio system (Power/Volume/sound controls, Radio, CD player, including steering wheel audio controls)
qHeater and A/C (driver, passenger) and front defroster in all mode settings
qTurn on navigation system. (Present location indication)*
qAdjust clock, dash panel and navigation system*
qPower window initialization (if battery was discharged during inventory storage).
qDoor locks
INSPECT the following items:
qUpholstery and interior finish
qCheck operation of any dealer installed accessories

Turn Engine Off And raise Vehicle On Lift


ON hoist

INSPECT the following items:
qREMOVE under cover
qTires for cuts or bruises
qUnderside fuel, coolant and hydraulic lines, fittings, connections, and components for leaks
qSteering linkage, suspension, exhaust system, and all underside hardware for looseness or damage
qINSTALL under cover


Lower Vehicle And Remove From Lift

qTire pressures (See tire label located on driver’s side B-pillar or edge driver’s of door frame for specification.)
qInitialize the TPMS*. Switch the ignition ON, then press and hold TPMS SET switch until the TPMS warning light and one beep flashes twice is heard.
qSpare Tire pressures (See tire label located on driver’s side B-pillar or edge driver’s of door frame for specification.)*
qFlat tire repair kit*

Road test-engine running at operating temperature

INSPECT the following items:
qSteering operation (steering wheel centered, drift or pull, and power assist)
qBrake operation
qEngine general performance
qSqueaks, rattles, and abnormal noises
qWarning lights are off
qVerify navigation system receives GPS signal (vehicle follows map)*


After road test

The following items must be completed just before delivery to your customer.
qTire pressures (See tire label located on driver’s side B-pillar or edge driver’s of door frame for specification.)
qInitialize the TPMS*. Switch the ignition ON, then press and hold TPMS SET switch until the TPMS warning light and one beep flashes twice is heard.

APPEARANCE CHECKS BEFORE DELIVERY

In addition to function checks, also perform one last inspection of key areas of the vehicle to ensure they are clean and free of chips and scratches.

qDoor dings and dents
qBonnet leading edges
qBumper covers
qDoor sill scuff plates
qDoor inner panel

qCarpets and floor mats
