Switch Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the TCS OFF switch. (See TCS OFF SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITHOUT OFF-ROAD TRACTION ASSIST].)

3.  Verify that the resistance between the TCS OFF switch terminals D and E is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the TCS OFF switch.

Illumination Light Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Apply battery voltage to TCS OFF switch terminal L, and connect terminal K to ground.

3.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the TCS OFF switch.


Indicator Light Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Apply battery voltage to TCS OFF switch terminal F, and connect terminal H to ground.

3.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the TCS OFF switch.
