Description	Headlight auto leveling system initialization error
Detection condition	• Headlight auto leveling system initialization is not performed with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
Fail-safe	• The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause	• Headlight auto leveling system initialization error • Auto leveling control module malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION • Perform headlight auto leveling system initialization. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION.) • Clear the auto leveling control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE].) • Retrieve the auto leveling control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE].) • Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization again, then go to the next step. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION.)
1		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED • Clear the auto leveling control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE].) • Retrieve the auto leveling control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE].) • Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the auto leveling control module, then go to the next step. (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE].)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
