1. Measure the clearance and difference in height between the fuel-filler lid and the vehicle body.

Standard clearance

a: 1.62—3.62 mm {0.064—0.142 in}

b: 0.59—2.59 mm {0.024—0.101 in}

c: –0.5—1.5 mm {–0.01—0.05 in}

d: 1.55—3.55 mm {0.062—0.139 in}

e: 1.65—3.65 mm {0.065—0.143 in}

• If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the fuel-filler lid using the following procedure:

1. Loosen the bolts and adjust the fuel-filler lid. (See FUEL-FILLER LID REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Verify that the clearances and differences in height between the fuel-filler lid and the vehicle body are within the standard clearance.
