WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Windshield Wiper Arm
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Carefully pull the cap up in the direction of arrow shown in the figure while slightly shaking it, and remove the cap from the windshield wiper arm.

3. While pressing the windshield wiper arm as shown in the figure, loosen the nut without completely removing it.

4. Close the bonnet.
5. Raise the windshield wiper arm as shown in the figure.

6. Move the windshield wiper arm in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and detach it from the serrated connecting part.

7. Pull up the windshield wiper arm in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to the temporarily tightened nut.
8. Remove the nut.

9. Remove the windshield wiper arm. (See Windshield wiper arm installation note.)
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
11. Adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT.)
Windshield wiper arm installation note
1. Clean the serrated connecting part with a wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arm.

Windshield Wiper Blade
1. While pressing the button in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the windshield wiper blade in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the windshield wiper blade from the windshield wiper arm.

2. Remove the windshield wiper blade.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Windshield Wiper Blade Rubber
1. Remove the windshield wiper blade. (See Windshield Wiper Blade.)
2. Pull the blade rubber in the direction of the arrow and slide it to a position where the blade holder groove can be checked.

3. Pull the end of the blade rubber from the blade holder groove in the direction of the arrow and remove the blade rubber from the blade holder.
|
4. Insert the end of the new blade rubber into the groove of the blade holder until it contacts the end of the blade holder.

5. After pulling the blade rubber in the direction of the arrow and sliding the blade rubber to a position to check the blade holder groove, slide the blade rubber end in the opposite direction.

6. Verify that the blade rubber is correctly installed to the blade holder.
7. Install the windshield wiper blade. (See Windshield Wiper Blade.)
