MAZDA ERA-GLONASS SWITCH INSPECTION

Switch Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the mazda era-glonass switch. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

LED Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery voltage to mazda era-glonass switch terminal B, and connect terminal H to ground.

•  If the LED does not illuminate, replace the mazda era-glonass switch. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Indicator Light Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the mazda era-glonass switch terminals and inspect the LED illuminates.

•  If the LED does not illuminate, replace the mazda era-glonass switch. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
