Brake fluid level signal error |

Detection condition
|
• The radar unit continues the detected condition in which the brake fluid level is less than MIN for the specified period or more.
|
Fail-safe
|
• Inhibits the Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
• Inhibits the smart brake support (SBS) system control
• Inhibits the distance recognition support system (DRSS) control
|
Possible cause
|
• Insufficient brake fluid level
• Malfunction in circuit between brake fluid level sensor and front body control module (FBCM) and front body control module (FBCM)
• Signal error in circuit between front body control module (FBCM) and radar unit
|

INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
• Inspect the brake fluid level.
(See BRAKE FLUID INSPECTION.)
• Is the brake fluid level normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Add genuine brake fluid, then go to Step 3.
|

|
VERIFY FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) DTCs
• Retrieve the front body control module (FBCM) DTCs using the M-MDS.
• Are any DTCs displayed?
|
Yes
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
• Clear the DTC for the radar unit using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT].)
• Retrieve the radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT].)
• Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the radar unit.
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
• Are any other DTCs displayed?
|
Yes
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
