Description

Error configuration data received from instrument cluster
Detection condition
•  After 30 s or more have elapsed with the ignition switched ON (engine on or off), the adaptive LED headlights control module received error configuration data from the instrument cluster.
Fail-safe
•  Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.
Possible cause
Note
•  To correctly write the configuration data sent from the instrument cluster to the adaptive LED headlights control module to the adaptive LED headlights control module, 30 s or more need to have elapsed since the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on).
•  DTCs are stored in the instrument cluster.

?  Instrument cluster internal memory malfunction
•  Instrument cluster configuration data error
•  Adaptive LED headlights control module malfunction

VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTCs
•  Retrieve the instrument cluster DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the DTC displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].)
No
Go to the next step.

RESET INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONFIGURATION DATA
•  Using the M-MDS, perform the instrument cluster configuration with the As-Built data.
•  Clear the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more.
•  Retrieve the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Using the M-MDS, perform the instrument cluster configuration (using As-Built data) again, then go to the next step.

No
Go to Step 4.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more.
•  Retrieve the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Replace the adaptive LED headlights control module, then go to the next step.

No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
