Description	Adaptive LED headlights control system internal malfunction • RAM/ROM malfunction • Adaptive LED headlights control module function malfunction • CAN hardware malfunction
Detection condition	• RAM/ROM malfunction ? The adaptive LED headlights control module detected a malfunction in the internal RAM/ROM. • Adaptive LED headlights control system function malfunction ? The adaptive LED headlights control module detected adaptive LED headlights control system function malfunction three times. • CAN hardware malfunction ? The adaptive LED headlights control module detected CAN hardware malfunction three times.
Fail-safe	• When the setting is on using the personalization feature, the headlights HI turn on. (When setting is off using personalization feature, headlight HI illumination on/off depends on control by front body control module (FBCM)) • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause	• Adaptive LED headlights control module internal malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY • Clear the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].) • Retrieve the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].) • Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the adaptive LED headlights control module, then go to the next step. (See ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].)
2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
