Continuity Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the three way solenoid valve. (See THREE WAY SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

3.  Inspect airflow between the ports under the following conditions.

Measured condition

Continuity between nipples A—B

Continuity between nipples B—C

Continuity between nipples A—C
When voltage is not applied
No airflow
Airflow detected
No airflow
When voltage is applied
Airflow detected
No airflow
No airflow
•  If not as specified, replace the three way solenoid valve. (See THREE WAY SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)
