4WD control module
DETECTION CONDITION
•  4WD control module detects a tire diameter is outside of the allowable range
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
•  Refer to “Fail-safe function table”. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONIC 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM].)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  If a tire diameter which is outside of the allowable range detected, protect the system
•  Flat tire
•  Wrong tire pressure

INSPECTION

INSPECT EACH TIRE DIAMETER
•  Are each tire diameter as specified?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace with specified tire.

VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the 4WD control module.
•  Drive the vehicle in a straight line at 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more for 10 s or more.
•  Using the M-MDS, perform the 4WD control module DTC inspection.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the 4WD control module, then go to the next step.

No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONIC 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM].)
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
