COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

L.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Windshield wiper motor and link (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Keyless beeper (With advanced keyless entry system) (See KEYLESS BEEPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Move the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the tabs.

4.  Pull the side cowl grill in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the dashboard upper panel.

5.  Secure the side cowl grille to the windshield using adhesive tape.

6.  Remove the bolts.

7.  Move the cowl panel in the order of the arrows shown in the figure and remove cowl panel.

8.  Remove the cap nuts.

9.  Remove the cowl panel insulator.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

R.H.D.

(3)  Windshield wiper motor and link (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Keyless beeper (With advanced keyless entry system) (See KEYLESS BEEPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Move the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the tabs.

4.  Pull the side cowl grill in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the dashboard upper panel.

5.  Secure the side cowl grille to the windshield using adhesive tape.

6.  Remove the bolts.

7.  Move the cowl panel in the order of the arrows shown in the figure and remove cowl panel.

8.  Remove the cap nuts.

9.  Remove the cowl panel insulator.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
