SIDE TURN LIGHT INSPECTION

LED Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Outer mirror glass (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL.) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Outer mirror garnish (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Side turn light (See SIDE TURN LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery voltage to side turn light terminal A, and connect terminal B to ground.

4.  Verify that the LED turns on.

•  If the LED does not turn on, replace the side turn light. (See SIDE TURN LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Short-cord Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Outer mirror glass (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL.) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Outer mirror garnish (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Side turn light (See SIDE TURN LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Front door trim (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Power outer mirror connector (See POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity between the power outer mirror terminals and side turn light terminals are as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the power outer mirror. (See POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
