ANTENNA AMPLIFIER INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

4.  Measure the voltage at antenna amplifier connector terminal A.

If the voltage is 8 V:

•  The antenna amplifier is normal.

If the voltage is other than 8 V:

•  Inspect the tuner and amp unit and the antenna feeder. (See ANTENNA FEEDER NO.1 INSPECTION.) (See ANTENNA FEEDER NO.2 INSPECTION.)

?  If the tuner and amp unit and the antenna feeder are normal, replace the antenna amplifier. (See ANTENNA AMPLIFIER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
