VIN mismatch

Detection condition
•  360°view monitor control module detects the following information does not match.
?  VIN stored in EEPROM of 360°view monitor control module
?  VIN sent from instrument cluster
Fail-safe
•  Projected vehicle path lines and fixed lines for each view are not displayed
•  Icons for cameras not aimed are indicated in area where vehicle image is displayed
Possible cause
•  The 360°view monitor control module is installed on a different vehicle.
•  DTCs are stored in the instrument cluster.
•  instrument cluster malfunction
•  360°view monitor control module malfunction

VERIFY IF 360°VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE WAS INSTALLED ON DIFFERENT VEHICLE
•  Verify if the 360°view monitor control module was installed on a different vehicle.
•  Was the 360°view monitor control module installed on a different vehicle?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 3.

READ VEHICLE INFORMATION SENT FROM INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TO 360°VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE
•  After switching the ignition off, switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) again.
•  Clear the DTC for the 360°view monitor control module using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 1.5 s or more.
•  Retrieve the 360°view monitor control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 6.

VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTCs
•  Retrieve the instrument cluster DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
•  Clear the DTC for the 360°view monitor control module using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 1.5 s or more.
•  Retrieve the 360°view monitor control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Replace the instrument cluster, then go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 6.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC for the 360°view monitor control module using the M-MDS.
•  Retrieve the 360°view monitor control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the 360°view monitor control module.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
6
VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
