ADJUSTER ANCHOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

• The side air bag sensor No.1 is attached to the lower part of the B-pillar. When working around the B-pillar, disconnect the negative battery terminal or work carefully, avoiding excessive impact to the lower part of the B-pillar.
1. Switch the ignition to off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Set the adjuster to the lowest position.
4. Remove the adjuster anchor cover. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (2) Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (3) B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (4) Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (5) B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6. Remove bolt A.
7. Remove bolt B.
8. Remove the tab.
9. Remove the adjuster anchor.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
