Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY DTCs • Display the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module DTC using the M-MDS. (See DTC TABLE [MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE].) • Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE].)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM AGAIN • Is the Mazda ERA-GLONASS indicator (red) turned on?	Yes	The Mazda ERA-GLONASS indicator (red) circuit in the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module is malfunctioning. Replace the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module, then go to the next step. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	START FINALIZATION • Start the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module finalization. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE FINALIZATION PROCEDURE.) • Is the finalization completed correctly?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Refer to “FINALIZATION NOT STARTED OR COMPLETED” malfunction diagnosis and perform the inspection. (See FINALIZATION NOT STARTED OR COMPLETED [MAZDA ERA-GLONASS].)
4	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION IS RESOLVED • Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?	Yes	Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.)
4		No	Repeat the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction has not been resolved, replace the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
