HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

1.  Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Rear spoiler (See REAR SPOILER REMOVAL.) (See REAR SPOILER INSTALLATION.)

3.  High-mount brake light short-cord (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity between the high-mount brake light short-cord terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the high-mount brake light short-cord. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
