Description
•  Blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning light does not illuminate even though blind spot monitoring (BSM) switch turns off the system after ignition switch is turned to ON position.

VERIFY DTCs
•  Retrieve DTCs from the instrument cluster and rear body control module (RBCM) using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BSM OFF INDICATOR LIGHT OPERATION
•  Turn on the blind spot monitoring (BSM) OFF indicator light using the M-MDS instrument cluster active command modes WL+IL.
•  Does the blind spot monitoring (BSM) OFF indicator light illuminate according to the active command modes?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the instrument cluster.

INSPECT BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) SWITCH
•  Inspect the blind spot monitoring (BSM) switch.
•  Is the blind spot monitoring (BSM) switch normal?
Yes
Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH).
No
Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) switch.
