BUCKLE SWITCH INSPECTION

Front Buckle Switch
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the front buckle connector. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.

Second-row Buckle Switch (With Rear Seat Belt Reminder System) (L.H.D.)
Center
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the second-row seat (driver’s side). (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (center) terminals using a tester.

Driver’s side
1. Switch the ignition off.

3. Remove the second-row seat (driver’s side). (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (driver’s side) terminals using a tester.

Passenger’s side
1. Switch the ignition off.

3. Remove the second-row seat (passenger's side). (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (passenger's side) terminals using a tester.

Center
1. Switch the ignition off.

4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (center) terminals using a tester.

Passenger’s side (With Second-row Seat Warmer)
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the second-row seat (passenger's side). (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (passenger's side) terminals using a tester.

Passenger’s side (Without Second-row Seat Warmer)
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the second-row seat (passenger's side). (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch (passenger's side) terminals using a tester.

Third-row Buckle Switch (With Rear Seat Belt Reminder System)
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the trunk covering. (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Remove the trunk board No.1. (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Disconnect the third-row buckle switch connector. (See THIRD-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.
