VERIFY DTCs
• Using the M-MDS, display the DTCs related to the DSC HU/CM, EPS control module, instrument cluster, connectivity master unit (CMU) and forward sensing camera (FSC).

• Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes
|
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)

No
|
Go to the next step.

|
VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAY
• Is the DSC OFF indicator light turned on?
|
Yes
|
The vehicle is normal. (Explain to the customer that the lane-keep assist system does not operate when the DSC operation is cancelled.)
Complete the symptom troubleshooting.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT PHENOMENON DUE TO DETECTION PERFORMANCE LIMITATIONS
• Refer to the new vehicle instruction and inspect the detection performance of the forward sensing camera (FSC).
• Inspect the forward sensing camera (FSC) operation record using the M-MDS.
• Are the applicable items for the detection performance displayed?

Yes
|
The vehicle is normal. (Explain to the customer that the lane-keep assist system may not operate due to the detection performance limitations of the forward sensing camera (FSC).)
Complete the symptom troubleshooting.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY DRIVING CONDITION
• Ask the customer if the condition was any of the following conditions when the malfunction occurred.
• Is any of the above driving conditions met?

Yes
|
The vehicle is normal. (Explain to the customer that the lane-keep assist system does not operate when the DSC operation is cancelled or the vehicle is driven on an extremely narrow or wide road.)
Complete the symptom troubleshooting.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT LDWS SWITCH
• Inspect the LDWS switch.
(See LDWS SWITCH INSPECTION.)
• Is the LDWS switch normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the cluster switch, then go to step 6.
|

|
INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
• Inspect the instrument cluster.
• Is the instrument cluster normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the instrument cluster, then go to the Step 7.
|

|
VERIFY MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
• Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?
|
Yes
|
Complete the symptom troubleshooting.(Explain repair contents to customer).
|
No
|
Repeat the diagnosis from Step 1.
If the malfunction has not been resolved, replace the forward sensing camera (FSC).
