CONDENSER INSPECTION

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY.)(See REFRIGERANT CHARGING.)
3. Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)
6. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Plug hole plate (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (2) Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (3) Coolant reserve tank (See COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (4) Cooling fan component (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (5) Charge air cooler inlet hose (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (6) Charge air cooler outlet hose (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

- (7) Radiator (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

7. Inspect the condenser for damage, cracks, and oil leakage.

8. Inspect the fins for restriction or foreign matter.

9. Inspect the fins for bending.

• If there is any bending, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten the fins. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See
CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
