SECOND-ROW CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution
-
• If the retractor is disassembled, the second-row center seat belt will not pull out or retract correctly due to looseness and excessive play. Therefore, do not disassemble the retractor.

Note

• The second-row center seat belt is building into the second-row seat back (driver’s side).
1. Switch the ignition to off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Second-row seat (driver’s side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (2) Second-row seat cushion (driver’s side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Remove the bolt.
5. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Second-row seat side cover (driver’s side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (2) Second-row center buckle (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (3) Second-row seat back component (driver’s side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT BACK COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (4) Second-row seat back trim (driver’s side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6. Remove the second-row center seat belt from the guide.
7. Detach the tab and remove the guide.
8. Remove the nuts.
9. Remove the second-row center seat belt retractor from the second-row seat back frame (driver’s side).
10. Remove the second-row center seat belt.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
