SECOND-ROW SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the second-row seat back trim and second-row seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the second-row seat back trim and second-row seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the second-row seat back trim and second-row seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Driver-side Second-row Seat Back Trim

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Second-row seat(See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Second-row seat cushion(See SECOND-ROW SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Second-row seat side cover(See SECOND-ROW SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Second-row center buckle(See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Second-row seat back component(See SECOND-ROW SEAT BACK COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Second-row seat back frame (See SECOND-ROW SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the C-rings shown in the figure, and remove the second-row seat back trim from the second-row seat back pad.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.(See Second-row Seat Back Trim Installation Note.)

Passenger-side Second-row Seat Back Trim

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the second-row seat.(See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Move hook A in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach it from hook B.

4.  Peel off the surface fastener shown in the figure.

5.  While pressing the top tether anchor cover tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the second-row seat back frame.

6.  Remove the clips.

7.  Remove the second-row seat back board.

8.  Remove the cover and then remove the screws.

9.  Release the pole guide tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, then pull the pole guide out in the direction of arrow (2).

10.  Lift up the second-row seat back trim and second-row seat back pad as a single unit and remove it from the second-row seat back frame.

11.  Remove the C-rings shown in the figure, and remove the second-row seat back trim from the second-row seat back pad.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.(See Second-row Seat Back Trim Installation Note.)

Second-row Seat Back Trim Installation Note

Note

•  The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

•  Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

1.  Align the second-row seat back trim with the installation hole of the second-row seat back pad, and install the C-rings.

2.  Press the second-row seat back pad inward while pulling the second-row seat back trim outward.

3.  Align the second-row seat back trim with the shape of the second-row seat back pad while pressing the second-row seat back pad outward.
