FRONT FENDER STAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

LH

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Seal board upper (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL.) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Front bumper slider (See FRONT BUMPER SLIDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Capacitor (i-ELOOP) (See CAPACITOR (i-ELOOP) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [i-ELOOP].)

(6)  Theft-deterrent (With theft-deterrent system) (See THEFT-DETERRENT SIREN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the fastener.

4.  Remove the nut and wiring harness clips.

5.  Remove the wiring harness clip. (With wiring harness clip)

6.  Remove the bolt and then remove the ground cable.

7.  Remove the bolts.

8.  Remove the front fender stay.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Front Fender Stay Newly Replace Note.)

RH

(4)  Front bumper slider (See FRONT BUMPER SLIDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Washer tank (See WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the fastener.

4.  Remove the wiring harness clips.

5.  Remove the bolts and then remove the ground cables.

6.  Remove the bolts.

7.  Remove the front fender stay.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Front Fender Stay Newly Replace Note.)

Front Fender Stay Newly Replace Note

Caution

•  If the bolt connection area is painted when the front fender stay is replaced, it could cause a malfunction in the PCM. Before painting the replaced front fender stay, refer to the [Paint Procedure For Replaced Front Fender Stay] in the bodyshop manual.
